Colin Hardman: A Sidecar Racing Legend Colin Hardman, a name synonymous with sidecar racing excellence, has left an indelible mark on the motorsport world. From his early days to becoming a true icon in the industry, Hardman's journey is one of triumph and perseverance. In 1975, riding a powerful Ducati machine, Colin showcased his exceptional skills at the Lightweight Manx Grand Prix. The crowd was captivated by his fearless maneuvers and precise control as he raced towards victory. Fast forward to 1982 when Bryan Hargreaves joined forces with Colin for the Sidecar TT race aboard a Kawasaki. Their partnership proved formidable as they pushed boundaries and challenged their competitors at every turn. However, it was in 1989 that Colin truly etched his name into history alongside Dave Molyneux. Together on their Bregazzi Yamaha sidecar, they secured Molyneux's first TT win in an exhilarating display of teamwork and skill during the Sidecar TT race A. Their success continued that year as they dominated once again on their Bregazzi Yamaha machine during the same event. The duo's chemistry was undeniable as they weaved through treacherous bends and conquered daunting straights with unwavering determination. Throughout his career, Colin formed partnerships with other talented racers such as Lars Schwartz in 2000 on an LGMV Ireson Yamaha sidecar for another thrilling run at the Sidecar TT. Additionally, Dennis Keen became another trusted teammate who rode alongside him on a Yamaha machine during various races including those held in 1986 and 1985. Notably, John Holden had the privilege of teaming up with Colin in 2003 for yet another memorable performance using Fanuc Yamaha equipment. Their synchronized movements exemplified years of experience combined with raw talent - a sight that left spectators awe-struck.
