Ciconiiformes is an order of large, long-legged wading birds, and are found in many habitats around the world and include species such as storks, ibises, herons, egrets and spoonbills. They have long legs and necks that help them to wade through shallow water in search of food. They have strong bills that they use to catch fish, frogs, insects and other small animals. Their wings are broad and allow them to soar over great distances when migrating or searching for food. It also possess a unique vocalization which is used for communication between members of their species as well as for attracting mates during breeding season.
