A chimney is a vertical structure made of masonry, metal, or other material that allows hot gases and smoke from a fireplace, furnace, or boiler to escape to the outside atmosphere, and are typically found on the roof of a building and can be either straight or have multiple bends. They also come in various sizes depending on the type of appliance they are connected to.
