After complaining of pain in his right shoulder after the first day of the opening Tourists' match against Worcestershire, Benaud saw a specialist who said he had an inflamed tendon., which will keep him out of action until 10th May.

Liqueur set in a preserved elephant's foot, 1903 (c). Silver and glass, made by R P, hallmarked Chester, 1903-1904. Two-handled elephant's foot bound with silver. With silver binding inscribed, 'PRESENTED BY/ CAPT. J. J. O'SULLIVAN/ TO THE OFFICER'S MESS/ N. RHODESIA POLICE'. Inside are six holders, three glasses, one measure, two decanters. Date: circa 1903
