Beauty Contest Competitor - Yorkshire
Beauty queen contestant Lynn Marie Briggs, 19, of Guiseley, Yorkshire, with a pale blue MG sports car bought for her by boyfriend Michael Garnett. Every year she travels about 20, 000 miles around Britain competing in beauty contests. "My looks were liable to suffer because of the tiring journeys" said Lynn. "Now I will get around quicker. I hope to collect more titles because I will arrive so much fresher and more ready to compete."
