Amidst the chaotic whirlwind of Italian politics, tempers flared in a stormy parliament session, as depicted in this engraving. Across the Channel, the French Chamber of Deputies saw its own scandalous moment, with heated debates captured in a vibrant color lithograph. Art mirrored life in the mid-20th century, as seen in the expressive screen print "Angry Robot Blowing His Top." Even the animal kingdom wasn't immune to bad tempers, as a grumpy old owl demanded "Go Away." from an intrusive elf. School was no refuge from irritation, as a boy braced himself for a reprimanding schoolmaster in another lithograph. In literature, Fanny Squeers' scowl spoke volumes in a colorful 1923 lithograph, while Mrs. Ferrars' icy glare was etched in stone. The Irish boatmen of Limmerick, immortalized in these two captivating prints, knew all too well the tempestuous waves of anger that could capsize even the calmest of days.
