Three one-month-old female African lion cubs lie together at the Ramat Gan Safari near Tel Aviv February 21, 2010. The birth of the three female cubs eased concerns about the balance of the lion group at the safari after most of the previous cubs born were male, a statement from Ramat Gan Safari said on Sunday. A young Caucasian girl cuddles a joey in front of a wooden door

A colour image of a young Caucasian girl (Frances Hattam, who plays Carol) looking down at a baby kangaroo (joey) that she firmly embraces in her arms. They are posed in front of a corrugated iron shed with a weatherboard door, on which hangs a heart shaped lock. This image was shot while filming Nullarbor Hideout 1964: Bored during the summer holidays and escaping the heat, a group of kids (and their joey!) from Cook, on the Nullarbor Plain, discover a limestone cave with a huge underground lake. Meanwhile in town, a detective is called in from Port Augusta to investigate a stolen car and some sinister kangaroo shooters. When the kids discover their tucker and canoe have disappeared, they decide to do some investigating of their own. An Australian black and white short film written and directed by Tim Burstall (Alvin Purple)

Sterlet, a breed of sturgeon, swim in a tank at the Beloyarsky state fish hatchery in the village of Izykhskiye Kopi in Khakassia region, August 18, 2014. The hatchery was built to replace fish stocks in the Yenisei River depleted after construction of a hydro-electric dam, which blocked their migration route. The hatchlings are loaded into container trucks, and then released back into the Yenisei river about 800 km downstream from the hatchery. The hatchery will this year release 800,000 sturgeon fry back into the river, employees said. Picture taken August 18, 2014.
