Colston Day 1936, Colston Cadets, boys of Colston's School pay respects to their founder, sounding the Last Post, at the Colston Memorial in Colston Avenue, Bristol on Friday 13th November 1936, today marks the 300th anniversary of the birth of Edward Colston.
Colston Day also known as MV Charter Day to celebrates the granting of a royal charter to the Society of Merchant Venturers by Charles I in 1639.

The 28th November is Independence Day in Albania.
On this day 32 years ago, the Albanian people were freed from Turkish rule
On this occasion, Albania celebrated its liberation from German control as well as its independence.
The 1st Corps of Partisans marched past a saluting base in the Capital Tirana and Halifax planes of the RAF dived in low in salute.
The parade took place new part of Tirana, built by the Italians. At the saluting base were military representatives from Russia, Britain, America and Yugoslavia.

Wrecked street car/tram destroyed by the Nagasaki A-Bomb. Survivor Koichi Wada was due to be driving this street car and would have been killed if by chance there hadn't been an accident on the line earlier.
Koichi Wada, 88, conscripted into working as a tram driver, should have been right next to the epicentre that morning, but a hold-up on the route saved his life.
"Even though I was four kilometres away I was flung from my seat," he recalls.
"It felt like the ground was floating. I was covered in cuts and bruises, but I am fortunate
