The angelshark, also known as the monkfish or sand devil, is a fascinating species of shark that can be found in the waters of the eastern Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. These unique creatures have flattened bodies and large pectoral fins that resemble wings, giving them an angelic appearance. Despite their serene name and appearance they can skilled predators that lie in wait on the ocean floor for unsuspecting prey to swim by.
