"Thrilling Allcomers Scratch Race Showcases Vintage Beauties and Speed Demons" In a display of sheer elegance and raw power, the CM4 1944 Bentley MkVI S2 Special roared to life at the allcomers scratch race. LXT 220, driven by Don Hands, gracefully maneuvered through the twists and turns of the track, while the Lotus Elan with registration KYY 184 C showcased its nimble handling. The competition was fierce as CM9 7199 Andrew Sharp unleashed his Aston Martin DB4's horsepower onto the asphalt. Not far behind was CM9 6219 Ed Mercer in his Morgan 8, proving that classic cars can still hold their own against modern contenders. But it was CM30 5268 Scott Hughes who stole the show in his Riley Brooklands, leaving spectators breathless with every lap. Alexander Jones pushed boundaries in his FIAT Balilla 508S, demonstrating that size doesn't always determine speed. Theodore Hunt took everyone by surprise with his Frazer Nash Super Sports (CM30 5300), effortlessly gliding past competitors on straights. Julian Grimwade joined him on this thrilling ride with a Frazer Nash single-seater (CM30 5310). James Morley showcased true vintage class behind the wheel of a Bentley 3-4 litre (CM30 5311), while Dougal Cawley made heads turn in his GN-Ford Piglet (CM30 5312). The race became even more intense when Julian Grimwade returned to battle alongside Tom Thornton in a BMW329-28K (CM30 5009). Ian Baxter proved himself as an unstoppable force with two Alta61 IS Single Seaters (CM30:4986 & CM30:4980), pushing these machines to their limits. As engines roared and tires screeched across each corner, adrenaline filled every inch of the track.
