Alexandra of Denmark, born in 1844 and passed away in 1925, was a prominent figure in European royalty. She was the wife of King Edward VII of the United Kingdom and held the title of Queen Consort from 1901 until her husband's death in 1910. Throughout her life, Alexandra had close ties with various royal families. In a captivating black and white photograph taken in 1905, she is seen alongside Tsar Nicholas II of Russia and his family. This snapshot offers a glimpse into their intimate relationship during that time. Another striking image showcases Alexandra with her husband during their visit to Chabet el Akra in July 1905. The couple's travels extended beyond Russia as they were also captured together in Marseilles, France later that year. Alexandra played an important role within British politics too. A historic moment occurred when she attended the opening ceremony of the English Parliament alongside King Edward VII on February 23rd, 1901. This event marked their official introduction as monarchs to the nation. The Princess of Wales at one point before becoming queen herself resided at York House along with Prince Albert Edward (later known as King Edward VII). An intriguing black and white photo captures them both within this grand residence during the late nineteenth century. Renowned artist William Heinemann immortalized Queen Alexandra through his Twelve Portraits - Second Series publication released in 1902. One lithograph from this collection beautifully portrays her regal presence and elegance. Marie Fedorovna (also known as Maria Feodorovna or Fiodorovna), who would later become Empress of Russia, shared Danish roots with Alexandra, and are pictured together affectionately referred to as "La princesse Dagmar de Danemark" and "la princesse de Galles. " A significant moment for both Alexandra and King Edward VII took place on February 14th, 1901, when they attended the opening of his first parliament.
