Achille Beltrame (1871-1945) was an Italian painter and sculptor who worked in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He is best known for his Symbolist works, which often explored themes of death, nature, and spirituality. His paintings were characterized by a muted palette of colors, often featuring a single figure or landscape in the center of the composition. He also created several sculptures that explored similar themes as his paintings. Beltrame's work was highly influential on later Symbolist painters such as Giorgio de Chirico and Renato Guttuso. He died in 1945 at the age of 74 after suffering from a long illness. His legacy continues to be celebrated today through exhibitions dedicated to his work around the world.
