Born in 1808, he became widely recognized as Emir Abdelkader and played a significant role in the resistance against French colonization. One of the notable events involving Abdelkader was the French conquest of Algeria from 1830 to 1847. During this period, he led numerous expeditions and battles against the invading forces.
