The 2010s: A Decade of Art, Music, and Sporting Triumphs From the powerful tackles of Joe Marler on the rugby field to the mesmerizing strokes of Curtis Steigers' brush in Alan John Ainsworth's artwork, They were a decade filled with talent and creativity. In 2013, Esperanza Spalding enchanted audiences with her soulful melodies, beautifully captured by Ainsworth's artistic vision. And who could forget Bootsy Collins' iconic star-shaped mirrored lens sunglasses that became synonymous with style during this era? While we marveled at contemporary art and music, we also celebrated architectural marvels like Walter Gropius' office at Bauhaus-University Weimar in Germany. This stunning structure stood as a testament to innovation and design excellence since its construction between 1904 and 1911. Musical legends like Tony Hadley left their mark on this decade too. His captivating performances resonated with fans worldwide thanks to Brian Foskett's brilliant portrayal. Meanwhile, cellist Zosia Jagodzinska showcased her extraordinary talent through Alan John Ainsworth's masterful depiction. As we explored beyond the realm of arts and culture, Liverpool dock basin reminded us of England's rich maritime history while Brian O Driscoll dominated the rugby pitch for Ireland. The National Theatre on London's South Bank served as a hub for theatrical brilliance throughout this period. Ethel Davies immortalized its grandeur in her photograph taken on March 16th, 2010. Nature also played its part in shaping our memories during these years. Ethel Davies captured Hamblings Scallop in Aldeburgh, Suffolk—a magnificent sculpture that symbolizes both beauty and resilience against nature’s forces—on May 25th, 2010. Lastly but certainly not least is Larry Braggs whose musical prowess captivated audiences far and wide.
