Wohler, born on November 30, 1800, in Eschborn, Hesse, Germany, is renowned for his achievements in the production of metallic aluminum in 1827 and beryllium in 1828. Before Wohler's time, aluminum and beryllium were considered unattainable elements due to their high reactivity and resistance to extraction from their respective ores.
