La Muette Chateau, also known as Chateau de La Muette, is a historic chateau located in the Passy district of Paris, France. This elegant 19th-century chateau, which translates to 'The Mute' in French, was built between 1862 and 1867 for Prince Roland Bonaparte, a nephew of Napoleon Bonaparte. The chateau was designed by the renowned architect Hector Lefuel in a neo-French Renaissance style, with influences from the Loire Valley chateaux. The serene image captured in this photograph, taken circa 1890, showcases the picturesque beauty of the chateau and its surrounding gardens.
