31st May, 2003: A Triumphant Homecoming for Rangers FC In the annals of Scottish football history, few moments have been as iconic as the return of Rangers Football Club to Ibrox Stadium on the evening of 31st May, 2003. The team, having clinched the treble - the Scottish Premier League title, Scottish Cup, and the League Cup - had just completed an unprecedented domestic treble, a feat that had eluded them for over three decades. The team bus, adorned with the Scottish flags and the treble trophies, made its way through the streets of Glasgow, escorted by a convoy of police motorbikes and fire engines, their sirens blaring in celebration. The air was thick with excitement as thousands of fans lined the streets, waving banners, scarves, and flags, their faces alight with joy and pride. As the team bus pulled up in front of Ibrox Stadium, the players, dressed in their kit and clutching their hard-earned trophies, were greeted by a sea of cheering supporters. The atmosphere was electric, as the fans sang and chanted, their voices echoing through the night. The players, visibly moved by the outpouring of love and appreciation, waved and blew kisses to their adoring fans. Lynne Norris, the talented photographer behind this evocative image, captured the moment perfectly. The players, bathed in the golden glow of the setting sun, stand proudly on the steps of the bus, their faces etched with exhaustion but also with the unbridled joy of victory. The fans, a sea of colour and emotion, stretch out towards them, their faces a testament to the deep connection between the team and its supporters. This image is a reminder of a moment of triumph and unity, a moment that will forever be etched in the hearts and minds of Rangers Football Club fans. It is a testament to the power of sport to bring people together, to create memories that last a lifetime.
