The Qutub complex is an array of monuments and buildings forming Delhis iconic landmark.
The best known structure in the complex is the Qutub Minar, which at 120 meters, is the tallest brick minaret in the world. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The tower has five distinct storeys, each marked by a projecting balcony and tapers from a 15 m diameter at the base to just 2.5 m at the top. The first three storeys are made of red sandstone; the fourth and fifth storeys are of marble and sandstone. The tower is covered in decorative motifs and calligraphy carved in stone.
The complex also includes structures built by the Tughlaqs, Alauddin Khilji and the British, the ruins of several earlier Jain and Hindu temples, and the tombs of Iltutmish, Alauddin Khilji and Imam Zamin
