Mountain Bromo and the star trails

Mount Bromo is an active volcano and part of the Tengger massif, in East Java, Indonesia. The massif area is one of the most visited tourist attractions in East Java, Indonesia. The volcano belongs to the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. The name of Bromo derived from Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, the Hindu creator god.

Two Northern Gannets on Helgoland, Germany

Northern Gannets (Sula bassana or Morus bassanus) on Helgoland. Males and females bond for life. Since 1991, the Northern Gannet inhabits the rocky cliffs of Helgoland, a tiny island in the North Sea. The birds can be observed throughout the breeding season and display their behavior without feeling threatened by the visitors.
