OVER FORCE OVER (OVER FORK OVER). About the year 1050, it is said that Warnebald Cunningham saved King Malcolm Canmore (of Scotland) by covering him with hay, concealing him from his pursuer the Pretender King Macbeth. The grateful King Malcolm later bestowed on Warnebald the lands of Cunningham and the motto OVER FORK OVER. Henry Conyngham (1766 a 1832) was known as The Lord Conyngham between 1787 and 1789. He was an Anglo-Irish courtier and politician, and the family was connected with Rossgul and Mount Charles in County Donegal.
