Taken by an English photographer, this historical image showcases some influential figures who played significant roles in shaping South Africa's history. Among the individuals featured are Honourable J Rose Innes, Mr Justice Buchanan, Honourable T E Fuller (ex-premier), Honourable P H Faure (Chief Justice of Cape Colony), Honourable P Molteno, Honourable W P Schreiner (late secretary of British South Africa Company), Honourable J X Merriman, Honourable J W Sauer, and Honourable Sir J Sivewright. These politicians and members of the Cape Supreme Court were instrumental in making important decisions that impacted the region. Also present in this photograph are Dr F Rutherfoord Harris (MLA), Sir Henry de Villiers, Sir Thomas Upington, and other notable personalities. Each individual represented a different aspect of society during that time period.
