Born on January 16,1911, in Bayonne, Aquitaine, Lapebie went on to achieve great success in his cycling career. He not only won the Tour de France in 1937 but also emerged victorious in the Criterium National editions of both 1934 and 1937. His passion for cycling was evident throughout his life until his passing on October 11,1996, in Pessac.
