A group of British soldiers receive medical attention in the aftermath of the action at Driefontein on 10 March 1900. The latter marked the Boers final attempt at preventing Lord Roberts from capturing Bloemfontein, the capital of the Orange Free State. British losses at Driefontein were 82 dead and 342 wounded. Boer losses were 102 dead and 22 captured.
