EDITORS COMMENTS
This print showcases a Barbute helmet from the Venetian Garrison at Chalcis, North Italy, dating back to the period between 1350 and 1420. Crafted from iron, this exquisite piece of armor weighs approximately 1.58 kg and measures 29.00 cm in height, 21.00 cm in width, and 25.00 cm in depth. A rare find indeed, this helmet's conical shape was designed to deflect glancing blows to the head during battle.
