The Battle of Faubourg St. Antoine, depicted in this print, was a significant engagement in the conflict. On October 6, 1648, the Parisian militia, led by the Marquis de Montreuil, clashed with the royalist forces under the command of Marshal Turenne. The battle took place in the Faubourg St. Antoine, a working-class district on the eastern outskirts of Paris.
