A Madame Yevonde portrait of Lady Elizabeth Paget

Lady Elizabeth Paget, daughter of the Marquess of Anglesey, was one of the train-bearers to Queen Elizabeth at the coronation of George VI. Madame Yevonde was a prolific and ground-breaking society portrait and commercial photographer active between 1915 and 1975. She is particularly well-known for her astonishingly modern work using the Vivex colour process during the 1930's. Her images of society folk and other personalities appeared regularly in The Sketch or The Tatler through the 1920's and 30's. Date: 19th May 1937, p310

The comet NEOWISE or C/2020 F3 can be seen in the starry sky abover Anglesey at about 1.00 am. Every 5000 to 7000 years this comet tracks so close to earth that it can be seen with the naked eye. Comet C/2020 F3 was discovered on March 27, 2020, from some 326 miles (525 km) above Earth's surface by NEOWISE, the Near Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer, which is a space telescope launched by NASA in 2009
