Tottenham New Church, Wood Green, 1844. Creator: Unknown Featured Dumfries and Galloway Print

Tottenham New Church, Wood Green, 1844. Creator: Unknown

Tottenham New Church, Wood Green, 1844. Church built c1844 in what is now north London. For some time it had been contemplated to make provision for the spiritual of Wood-green; but the resources of the hamlet were evidently not equal to the expense of building a church. An appeal, however, was made to the parish generally: contributions flowed in, many of them anonymously; and these, aided by a grant by the Incorporated Society, has enabled the committee to meet the cost of the church...'. The architects were Scott and Moffat. From "Illustrated London News", 1844, Vol I
