The Coronation Chair with the Stone of Scone
The Coronation Chair, Westminster Abbey, London. The stone below the seat is the infamous Stone of Scone. Historically, the artifact was kept at the now-ruined Scone Abbey in Scone, near Perth, Scotland. It was used for centuries in the coronation of the monarchs of Scotland, the monarchs of England, and, more recently, British monarchs. On 3 July 1996 it was announced in the House of Commons that the Stone would be returned to Scotland, and on 15 November 1996, after a handover ceremony at the border between representatives of the Home Office and of the Scottish Office, it was transported to Edinburgh Castle arriving on 30 November 1996 where it remains. Date: circa 1910s

Castle at the waterfront, Duntulm Castle Ruins of the Clan MacDonald, Isle of Skye, Scotland, United Kingdom
Duntulm Castle stands ruined on the north coast of Trotternish of Tulm Bay, on the Isle of Skye in Scotland, near the hamlet of Duntulm. During the 17th century it was the seat of the chiefs of Clan MacDonald of Sleat. The castle was built in the 14th and 15th centuries, when the area was subject to feuds between the rival MacLeod and Macdonald clans. The main structure of the castle is about 25 by 9 metres (82 by 30 ft), and stands on a basalt promontory above the sea
