Beaconsfield Buildings, Randells Road, London. A view through the courtyard of the flats immediately west of Gifford Street just prior to demolition. These Victorian tenements date from around 1879 and were intended to provide decent housing for working people at affordable rents. The site is now occupied by Bingfield Park. Coaching Club meet in Hyde Park

Riders in Hyde Park watch the drivers of the Coaching Club meet setting off for the Ranelagh Club in Barnes. The Coaching Club, one of the traditional highlights of the London Season, on this occasion met at the Powder Magazine in Hyde Park when eleven coaches and teams put in an appearance. Together with the Four-in-Hand Club, it revived the picturesque coaches of the 1840s and was a popular sight in London during the summer. Date: 1928
