Following Pitt are Dundas, Grenville, Spencer and Loughborough. On the left are members of the Whig opposition, led by Sheridan and Tierney. Behind are Jekyll, Bedford, Nicholls, Tyrwhitt Jones, Norfolk and Burdett. Pitt had resigned because he had promised the Irish a measure of Catholic emancipation, but George III refused to support this. Date: 1801
