Dom LuAs I Bridge in Porto, Portugal

Dom LuA?s I Bridge in Porto from a boat in Douro river.
The Dom LuA?s I Bridge is a double-decked metal arch bridge that spans the Douro River between the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia in Portugal. It was opened in 1886 and is one of the landmarks of the city. At the time of construction its span of 172 m was the longest of its type in the world.
Porto, also known as Oporto, is the second-largest city in Portugal, after Lisbon, and one of the major urban areas in Southwestern Europe. Located along the Douro river estuary in Northern Portugal, Porto is one of the oldest European centres, and its historical core was proclaimed a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996

Terraced vineyards by the Douro River, Portugal

Douro Valley, Portugal - 11 April 2017
The scenic Douro Valley, which runs from the Atlantic coast at Porto all the way into Central Spain, was the first designated wine region in the world. Its vinhateiro (winegrowing) area, devoted to vineyards from Roman times, has been designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The pretty rolling hills by the Douro river are covered by terraced vineyards in whitewashed quintas (wine estates); these are often shared by pretty olive and almond groves. In fact, the whole valley is an area of great natural beauty, welcoming climate and serenity
