The Proclamation of the German Empire at Versailles, 18 January 1871, (1936). Kaiserproklamation in Versailles, 18 Januar 1871'. After the joint victory of the German states in the Franco-Prussian War, the Prussian King Wilhelm I was proclaimed German Emperor in the Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles outside Paris. WW1 - The Foreign Minister of Germany, Hermann Muller, seen here signing the Treaty of Versailles. The treaty was signed at he Palace of Versailles on 28th June 1919. It was the most important of the treaties of Paris that ended World War I in 1919/1920. The peace treaty was negotiated between U.S. President Woodrow Wilson, British politician David Lloyd George, French Statesman Georges Benjamin Clemenceau and the Italian Prime Minister, Vittorio Emanuele Orlando. They were known as The Big Four'. Date: 1919

The Chateau de Chenonceau is a French chateau near the small village of Chenonceaux, in the Indre-et-Loire departement of the Loire Valley in France. The Marques Tower (named after owner Jean Marques). Other than the Royal Palace of Versailles, Chenonceau is the most visited chateau in France. Date: circa 1910s
