Margot Fonteyn, Rudolf Nureyev and Princess Grace of Monaco

Margot Fonteyn (R) speaks 02 July 1968 with Soviet born ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev (C) and Princess Grace of Monaco in front of the stage setting for the Third International Ballet Festival in Monte Carlo. Nureyev studied at the Leningrad Choreographic School, and became a soloist with the Kirov Ballet. While touring with the Ballet in 1961, he obtained political asylum in Paris. Nureyev's virtuosity and expressiveness made him one of the greatest male dancers of the 1960's, in both classical and modern ballets. He became ballet director of the Paris Opera in 1983. / AFP PHOTO

Lebanon-Virgin Megastore

Picture taken 12 June 2001 shows the art-deco Opera Building, which was badly damaged during Lebanon's 1975-90 civil war, undergoing renovation work in the heart of Beirut to become the first Virgin Megastore branch in the Middle East next month. The British multimedia firm's store will be officially inaugurated by Virgin owner, British billionaire Richard Branson, on 03 July in the former music hall which was built in the 1930s under the French mandate. The store, established over an area of 2, 800 square meters similar in size to the Virgin Megastore in Paris Champs-Elysees, will display CDs, DVDs, CD-ROMs and books and will include two restaurants and a stage for theatrical performances and concerts.
