The Emperors Cup, also known as the German Grand Prix, was one of the most prestigious automobile races of the early 20th century. Jenatzy, a pioneering figure in the world of motorsport, had already made history by setting the land speed record of 106.1 km/h (66.5 mph) in 1899.
