Emir Faisal (1883-1933) at Wejh (now in Saudi Arabia) during the First World War. He later became Faisal I of Iraq. He directed the Arab revolt against the Ottomans in 1916 and became King of Syria in 1920. Expelled from Damas by the French, he became King of Iraq in 1921, supported by the English.

Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang. Biodegradable and made with non-chlorinated gases (no toxic fumes) it is efficient; producing 100 tons of polystyrene can save 300 tons of trees! Prints are glazed with lightweight, shatterproof, optical clarity acrylic (providing the same general protection from the environment as glass). The back is stapled hardboard with a sawtooth hanger attached. This evocative photograph captures Emir Faisal, future King of Iraq, during his pivotal role in the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire in March 1917. The image was taken at Wejh, now in Saudi Arabia, a strategic port city that served as a key base for the Arab forces during the First World War.
