This striking photograph captures Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th President of the United States, in a moment of relaxed reflection. Born on October 14, 1890, in Denison, Texas, Eisenhower rose to prominence as a brilliant military strategist, leading the Allied forces to victory in Europe during World War II as Supreme Allied Commander.
