This stunning 18th-century country house, located near Bagshot in Surrey, England, was once the residence of Admiral Sir George Keppel (1724-1772). Built in 1779, the house is a fine example of Georgian architecture and is surrounded by beautiful gardens and parkland. Admiral Keppel, a prominent figure in the Royal Navy during the Seven Years' War, purchased the estate in 1766 and commissioned the renowned architect Robert Adam to design and build the new house. The elegant and symmetrical façade, with its tall windows, pedimented portico, and Doric columns, reflects the grandeur and sophistication of the time. The interior of the house boasts ornate plasterwork, intricate woodcarvings, and fine decorative arts, all reflecting the wealth and taste of its owner.
