Cosima was the daughter of the legendary Hungarian composer Franz Liszt and the wife of two of the most influential figures in the history of Western classical music: Hans von Bülow and Richard Wagner. Born in 1837, Cosima's life was marked by a rich tapestry of musical and romantic relationships. Her father, Franz Liszt, was a towering figure in the musical world, known for his virtuosic piano playing and his innovative approach to music composition. Cosima's mother, the Countess Marie d'Agoult, was a French writer and journalist who had an affair with Liszt, resulting in Cosima's birth. In 1857, Cosima married Hans von Bülow, a renowned pianist and conductor. Their marriage was marked by a deep love and mutual respect, and Cosima played a crucial role in supporting Hans' career. However, their relationship was not without its challenges, including Hans' infidelity and Cosima's growing fascination with the music of Richard Wagner.
