Peary, a renowned explorer and adventurer, is famously known for his claim of being the first man to reach the North Pole on April 6, 1909. However, this claim remains widely disputed in the present day. In this image, Peary and Bartlett, his trusted navigator, are seen on the deck of their ship, the "Roosevelt," surrounded by the harsh and unforgiving Arctic landscape.
