Lancashires AC Archie MacClaren.
He made 306 appearances for the county between 1890 and 1914, and was club captain from 1894-1896 and 1899-1907. He scored 15716 runs with 30 centuries. His 424 against Somerset in 1895 remains the record highest individual score for Lancashire, and was the record score in first-class history for almost thirty years until it was broken by Don Bradman. He played 35 tests for England and led the side on 22 occasions.
