16th October 2022, Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit, Northamptonshire, England: The thrilling HSCC Historic Touring Car Championship with Ecurie Classic came to a close at the Silverstone Finals, with a 20-minute race that saw a diverse grid of historic touring cars take to the iconic circuit. Among the many stunning machines was the Ford Lotus Cortina driven by Mike Stephenson. The HSCC Historic Touring Car Championship combined several classifications into one race, creating a spectacle of historic motor racing with a wide range of engine capacities. From the smallest four-pot engines below 1150cc to the mighty multi-litre V8s, these classic cars dated from around 1947 up to 1969. In this exhilarating race, GT cars, tin tops, production sports cars, and production GT cars all battled it out on the Silverstone circuit, using Dunlop tyres and adhering to FIA Appendix K regulations.
