Amidst the drizzle and dull weather of Towcester, Northamptonshire, England, on the historic grounds of Silverstone, the Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) kicked off their first track event of the season with the prestigious Pomeroy Trophy on February 17, 2024. The Pomeroy Trophy, a set of four auto-tests followed by forty minutes of racing on the full Grand Prix circuit, showcased an array of iconic and historic cars from all eras and types. In this photograph, Rachel Blake skillfully navigates her Frazer Nash Super Sports around the Grand Prix circuit, leaving a trail of spray in her wake. The Pomeroy Trophy, first run in 1952, is one of four trophies awarded at the event, with the Densham Trophy, Pomeroy Edwardian Trophy, Voiturette Trophy, and the Gordon Spice Cup also up for grabs.
