"Amidst the drizzle and dull weather at Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire, England, on the 17th of February 2024, the Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) kicked off their season with the iconic Pomeroy Trophy event. This historic motorsport competition, first held in 1952, showcased a diverse range of cars from various eras and types, including the Railton Straight 8 Special driven by the legendary Michael Caine. The Pomeroy Trophy consisted of four auto-tests followed by an exhilarating forty minutes of racing on the full Grand Prix circuit. The event offered a delightful blend of nostalgia and speed, as pre-war and retro saloon cars and sports cars roared around the track.
