Guinea Baboon Collection

The Guinea Baboon (Cercopithecidae) is a species of Old World monkey found in the tropical forests of West Africa, and are medium-sized primates, with males reaching up to 40 inches in length and weighing up to 50 pounds. The fur is usually olive or grayish-brown, with a white or yellowish underside. These animals live in large social groups of up to 100 individuals, and have complex communication systems involving facial expressions, vocalizations, and body language, and are omnivorous animals that feed on fruits, nuts, insects, small vertebrates and even carrion. Guinea baboons have been known to raid crops for food as well as raid villages for food items such as chickens or eggs and are known to be very curious creatures that can be seen playing with various objects they find around them. Despite their reputation for being aggressive when threatened by humans they can actually make good pets if given proper training and care from an early age.
