EDITORS COMMENTS
Great moment of triumph for Bristol City as they celebrate their 2-0 victory over Walsall in the Johnstones Paint Trophy Final at the iconic Wembley Stadium on March 22, 2015. The Robins, who were competing in League One at the time, secured their place in the history books with this win, adding another trophy to their collection. The atmosphere at Wembley was electric as both teams gave their all on the pitch, with the fans of Bristol City and Walsall creating an electrifying atmosphere. The first half ended goalless, but the second half saw the Robins come alive, with Bobby Reid scoring the opening goal in the 54th minute, followed by a stunning strike from Mark Little in the 76th minute. The crowd went wild as the final whistle blew, and the players rushed to the corner of the pitch to celebrate with their fans. The jubilant scene was captured perfectly in this photograph by Rogan Thomson of JMP, with the players lifting the Johnstones Paint Trophy high above their heads, basking in the glory of their hard-earned victory. This was an old photograph from the 2014-15 season, a memorable moment for the first team and the fans of Bristol City Football Club. The Johnstones Paint Trophy may not be as prestigious as the FA Cup or the League Cup, but it holds a special place in the hearts of the fans, who cherish every moment of competitive football, especially when it results in silverware.
