The Boxer Rebellion, also known as the Boxer Uprising, was a violent anti-foreigner movement that erupted in China between 1898 and 1901. In this image, Boxer rebels are seen sabotaging the railway tracks, a significant symbol of China's modernization and its growing connections to the outside world.
