In this thrilling moment captured by photographer David Jones during the UEFA Europa League Group H match between Birmingham City and SC Braga at St. Andrews Stadium in September 2011, Nathan Redmond of Birmingham City charges at Braga's defense with determination and intensity. The young English winger, then just 19 years old, had already established himself as a promising talent in the Birmingham squad and was making a name for himself in European competition. This goal, which came in the 15th minute of the match, proved to be a turning point in the game, giving Birmingham a crucial early lead and setting the tone for the rest of the contest. Ultimately, Birmingham went on to win the match 2-1, securing an important three points in their Europa League campaign. Redmond's performance that night was a testament to his skill, tenacity, and potential, and it marked the beginning of an exciting career in professional football.
