He was known for his fiery temper and was involved in several brawls, including one that resulted in the death of a man. He was also imprisoned for debt on several occasions. Despite these setbacks, Jonson continued to write and produce plays and poetry until his death in 1637. His work, which explores the complexities of human nature and the absurdities of society, remains a rich source of inspiration for artists and scholars alike.
