XJF3038363 Furnivals Inn Holborn, 1825 (engraving) by Shepherd, Thomas Hosmer (1792-1864) (after); Private Collection; (add.info.: Furnivals Inn was an Inn of Chancery 1383 to 1817 when it was rebuilt as apartments. charles Dickens lived here 1834-7 and began Pickwick Papers and J.M.Barrie had chambers 1888-9. It was demolished in 1877 for Alfred Waterhouse's Prudential Assurance Building.
