Cartoon, Edward and Clement. Edward: Let us no longer be estranged, dear Clement! Clement: Let us be like brothers, dear Edward! Clement William Scott (left, 1841-1904), was an influential English theatre critic who worked for the Daily Telegraph and other papers. He was also a playwright, lyricist, translator and travel writer. He is making up a quarrel with Edward Ledger (18??-1921), editor of The Era theatrical newspaper.
